Dan Batty will be leaving the Minstermen this summer at the completion of his contract. Dan signed back in 2023, playing a crucial part in the clubs survival that season. In the 2024/25 season, he went on to feature 42 times in the league helping City to an impressive 2nd place finish, falling short just via the play-offs. This year he went one better, becoming a champion as well as scoring that memorable goal at Wealdstone back in March.
Harrison Male will also depart this summer. Originally joining in 2024 from Dorking Wanderers where he went on to make 42 appearances in the league in his first season, keeping 19 clean sheets in the process, leaving him with the golden glove award for the 24/25 season in the National League. Like Batty he went one further this season, playing a vital part in the clubs title success. Featuring another 46 times in the league as well as another 19 clean sheets, awarding him the golden glove for the second season running.
Rory Watson and Tyrese Sinclair both depart having played key roles in the clubs recent success. Like Batty, Rory joined the club at a crucial time, featuring 6 times at the end of the 23/24 season, helping the club to survive relegation from the National League. Sinclair joined shortly after, playing 46 times in the league, scoring 7 times and assisting 4 as the Minstermen just missed out on the National League title.
Cam John and Ricky Aguiar both played big parts in the clubs play off run last season. Cam joined the club in the summer of 2024. He went on to feature 33 times in the league, scoring twice against Eastleigh and Wealdstone. Ricky joined at the same time from Swindon Town and also played 30 times in the league for City in what was a great year for the club as we progressed into second place.
Tyler Cordner, Leone Gravata, Mo Fadera, and Darragh O’Connor will all depart as well this summer – we thank them for their efforts and wish them well in their future career.
The club would like to place on record it’s thanks to all players departing this summer for all their efforts in a York City shirt and we wish them all the very best for the future.
