UNIQUE PARTNERSHIP
Our partnership with York College’s Sports Development Centre means talented young aspirational footballers can develop their footballing skills alongside studying for academic qualifications, including a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development.
Our partnership allows the college to further professionalise its football offering to encompass the whole of their football programme including both men’s and women’s teams. The expanded pathway means that players across all teams will receive a high level of coaching from academy staff with fluency across the three men’s teams to make sure every player is challenged at the right level and make the most of their footballing potential.
The York College Sports Development Centre is for talented student-athletes aged between 16 and 19 who want the opportunity to combine academic study with high-quality coaching with one of our Development Centre teams, or to provide academic support for individual athletes as they pursue their sporting commitments.

Game Time
The College programme teams will be a meritocracy, with the best players playing for the 1st team, however we will strive to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to play throughout the season.
We will consciously aim for a ‘1 club feel’ across all of our teams so that each player is valued and their development is supported.
