MACAULAY Langstaff was on target as City extended their unbeaten run to five games courtesy of a 1-1 draw at Hereford FC.

Striker Langstaff scored his third goal of the season in the 25th minute and City led for 40 minutes before Mike McGrath equalised for the hosts.

Caretaker-manager Sam Collins had made two changes with Adriano Moke and Jon Parkin preferred to Russ Penn and Wes York.

Hereford threatened straight from the kick-off as McGrath flashed a close-range header inches wide of the post.

But City enjoyed more of the first half possession and took the lead when Langstaff finished off a great four-man move.

Midfielder Josh Law spread play to Kallum Griffiths and his pass to the edge of the penalty area found Parkin who laid the ball on a plate for Langstaff to score from close-range.

Hereford might have equalised from a corner six minutes before the interval but for Griffiths who headed Harry White's shot off the line after Bartlett blocked an initial header from centreback Ryan Green.

Griffiths was involved at the opposite end of the field soon after the re-start and curled a shot narrowly wide from the edge of the area.

Hereford began to gain a foothold in the contest and McGrath equalised in the 65th minute after a spell of pressure.

Goalkeeper Bartlett had just produced a stunning save to keep out a Jordan Cullinane-Liburd header and Ryan Green had headed the rebound over the crossbar.

But McGrath scored with a low volley from the edge of the box to earn Hereford a share of the spoils.

Chances were thin on the ground for the rest of the game although Cullinane-Liburd spurned an opportunity to win all three points for Hereford when heading wide in stoppage time.
