York City FC is delighted to welcome young five-year-old supporter George as the club’s new Head of Fun!
Prior to former Marketing Director Mike Brown’s departure, George attended the match against Boreham Wood earlier in September with his father Adrian in the South Stand.
George saw the staff pass of Mike Brown’s and wanted one of his own. Speaking with father Adrian, Mike agreed to give up his and create a personalised one for George, which he collected with mum Gemma at the Southend game.
Last week George came up with a lots of fantastic ideas which the football club could implement, which we have taken a list of, which would help us further engage with our younger supporters and wider Minstermen community.
Along with York City Foundation’s Paula Stainton, everybody is eager to help develop George’s initiatives and use George’s five-year-old insights.
