Goalkeeper who previously played for York’s RTC and Ripon City Panthers. Her favourite moment playing for York City Ladies was being able to play against Leeds United Women at the LNER Community Stadium. Her footballing idol is Mary Earps.

Jess Heald

Full back who previously spent time with Farsley Celtic, and over ten years with Sheffield FC. She enjoys many hobbies, which includes football coaching. Her football idol is Thierry Henry and her all-time favourite MinsterBelles moment was helping the team secure league survival on the last day of the season last year.

Abbey Frederiksen

Centre back who formerly played for Hull City Ladies. Outside of football, her hobbies include boxing, rugby, going to the gym and hiking. Her footballing idol is Lucy Bronze and her all-time memorable York City Ladies moment was being able to play at the LNER Community Stadium for the first time.

Emily Cassidy

Central defender who has previously represented Sunderland Ladies, Leeds United Women and Middlesbrough. Outside of football, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, and her footballing idol is Lucy Bronze. Her memorable York City Ladies moment was playing at the LNER Community Stadium for the first time.

Karli Smith

Centre back who previously represented University of York Women’s Football. Football takes up most of her life, but aside from that she enjoys running in her spare time. Her favourite moment in a Belles shirt was securing league survival on the last day of last season. Her two footballing idols are Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic.

Emily Cattle

The former Northampton Town, Watford and Bradford City central defender enjoys many hobbies away from football, which include cooking and scenic walks. Her favourite moment in a MinsterBelles shirt was being able to play in front of over 2,000 supporters at the LNER Community Stadium last season against Leeds United Women.

Rebecca Jeffels

The full back earned a wealth of experience before joining the MinsterBelles, having previously represented Barnsley, Leeds United and Rotherham United. Her favourite moment as a York City Ladies player came in the 1-1 draw against her former club Leeds United at the LNER Community Stadium last season, which saw the Belles earn a 1-1 draw.

Elisha Hardcastle

Midfielder who has previously represented Leeds United and Guiseley Vixens. She enjoys travelling in her spare time and her footballing idol is Andreas Iniesta. Her memorable York City Ladies moment was being named in the side to feature against Leeds United at the LNER Community Stadium last season.

Milly Ash

Left winger who has had plenty represented the likes of Brayton Belles, York RTC and Leeds United prior to joining York City Ladies. Her footballing idol is Lionel Messi and her memorable York City Ladies moment was winning the league and county cup two seasons ago. She enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family away from football.

Nikki Brown

Central midfielder who has played for York City Ladies for the last eleven years having represented a few other clubs around the country before that. Hobbies away from football include running and keeping fit, and her memorable York City Ladies moment was that penalty shootout win, before finding out that we had been promoted.

Faye Singleton

Central midfielder who previously represented Stoke City Women before joining York City Ladies. Her footballing idol is Georgia Stanway and her favourite moment in a York shirt was scoring in the development league winning decider game against Middlesbrough last season.

Central midfielder who rejoined the MinsterBelles this season following a spell with Barnsley. Having also previously represented Leeds United in the past, she enjoys running and watching her team Celtic in her spare time. Her footballing idol is Scott Brown and her favourite York City Ladies moment was helping the team complete the double during the 2021/22 season.

Nina Howell

Recent addition to the York City Ladies squad having previously played for Bromley academy and Horsforth St Margarets. So far, her most memorable moment for the club was scoring five goals in pre-season against an American side. Outside of football, she enjoys coaching, cooking and listening to music in her spare time.

Sophie Tinson

Forward who previously played for Leeds United Women before joining the MinsterBelles. Her footballing idol is Alessio Russo and she enjoys training her gun dog ‘Ted’ in her spare time. Her memorable York City Ladies moment was becoming double champions in the league and cup during the 2021/22 season.

Felicity Jones

Forward who previously represented Huntington Rovers, York’s RTC and Middlesbrough Women before joining York City Ladies. Her footballing idol is striker Ellen White and her memorable MinsterBelles moment was being able to play against Leeds United at the LNER Community Stadium.

Forward who joined the MinsterBelles having previously represented York’s RTC and York RI. Her memorable York City Ladies moment was making her debut and scoring on her 16th birthday.
