York City made it three wins in a row with a 2-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United at the Kuflink Stadium.
Ollie Pearce registered the first shot of the game when his long-range effort on the half volley just skied the crossbar.
City were handed a free kick with a chance to swing the ball into the box. Dan Batty did just that finding Callum Howe in the box but Ebbsfeelt were able to get to the ball to clear away.
Ashley Nathaniel-George was the first man to take a shot at goal, his clever footwork allowed the number 11 with space to shoot but Lucas Covolan made a good stop to deny him.
Just seconds after and another great chance fell cities way, Alex Hunt feeding the ball to Pearce on the edge of the box, but he placed his shot over the bar.
The Fleet registered their first shot when Franklin Domi shot with his back turned to goal, but he could only watch as the ball flew high over the bar.
The Minstermen were having the greater chances in the first half, and this became evident when another great chance fell their way. A Batty corner was met by an unmarked Tyrese Sinclair at the back post, but he could only head wide.
Ebbsfleet had the ball in the back of the net right on the stroke of half time when a header from Josh Passley found its way in past Harrison Male. However following a conversation between referee Alan Dale and his assistant, the goal was chalked off.
The first shot of the second half came for City when Sinclair found the ball with space to shoot but his shot was parried down low by Covolan.
City were handed a penalty in the 52nd minute when Ollie Pearce was tripped behind from Olagunju. Pearce stepped up and slotted the ball home to the keepers bottom left-hand corner.
The points looked to be all wrapped up when a darting run from Cam John down the left-hand side played in a great low-cross to Pearce who steered the ball in to double the scoring.
There was to be no late drama as the Minstermen registered another three points to the tally.
