Opportunities to join City Academy

York City Football Club is offering an opportunity for THREE teenagers to join the club's highly-rated Academy.

Do you have the talent to pursue a career in professional football whilst also studying for valuable academic qualifications?

Our U19's work on a full time programme and divide their time between training and playing at the football club (3.5 days) and studying at college (1.5 days).

We are looking for three players who fit the following criteria:

* U17 and ready to start a BTEC (Level 3) in sport

OR

* U18 and willing to start a BTEC (Level 3) in sport or who has already started the BTEC and wishes to transfer to the club.

OR

* U19 who has a BTEC (Level 3) in sport but does not have their extended diploma.

In addition, the prospective candidates must live within a reasonable daily travelling distance to York as accommodation will not be provided.

The club will pay up to £100 per month to cover individual travel expenses.
