Ladies play South Shields on Sunday

The Minsterbelles return to league action this Sunday looking to make it back-to-back wins in 2022.

Having won away at Boro Rangers last weekend in the County Cup City are looking to maintain the unbeaten run in the return to league action.

Having not had a league game for eight weeks City still remain top of the league and will be looking to extend the lead.

Chris Hamilton’s side took all three points in the last meeting winning 1-5 thanks to goals from Sophie Tinson twice, Milly Ash, Rebecca Fevers and Holly Findlay.

The visitors currently sit eighth in the league and have picked up eight points with a couple of games in hand on the teams around them this campaign.

Last time out South Shields beat Hartlepool Pools Youth 1-5 to advance in the County Cup and in the league they played out a 2-2 draw with Wakefield Trinity in the first game after the Christmas break.
