York City Academy Open Trials

York City FC has often featured local youngsters in its first team, which can be traced back to the earliest fixtures in the 1920s.

In the Easter Holidays, we are holding open trials for the boys U8 – U16 age groups. Successful trialists will be invited to train and play with their age group until the end of the current season. From there, selections will be made for the 2024/25 season squads.

Players who are unsuccessful at this trial opportunity, may be invited to trial with York City FC Foundation’s Player Pathway to ensure that every possible chance to be part of York City FC is available.
