York City is delighted to announce the signing of Marvin Armstrong on a permanent transfer from Barnet.
The 25-year-old midfielder links up with manager Adam Hinshelwood again, having played under the manager whilst playing for Worthing.
A successful, impressive, pre-season trial at Worthing in 2019 earned Armstrong a deal at The Rebels.
Despite a COVID-hit period, Armstrong went on to make 89 appearances and establish himself as an ‘integral cog in the heart of Adam Hinshelwood’s midfield’.
During his final season for Worthing, Armstrong played a pivotal role in securing their promotion to the National League South.
Fellow National League side Barnet acquired his services in the summer of 2022, signing a permanent deal with The Bees.
35 appearances followed in his inaugural National League campaign at The Hive, across all competitions, before a further 21 games followed this season.
Welcome to York, Marvin!
Subject to league and FA approval.
