Kitchen for Everyone York have revealed that York City supporters generously donated over 450 pots of noodles at our most recent home fixture.
The 6-2 victory over Maidenhead United on Saturday, November 30th wasn’t the only victory on the afternoon, with Charity Partner Kitchen for Everyone York receiving significant donations from supporters.
Kitchen for Everyone York used their Charity Partner focus fixture by asking supporters to help directly by bringing along pots of noodles pre-match, an item of food which is one small but much-loved part of KEY’s outreach service in our community.
Something as simple as a Pot Noodle can make a world of difference for someone facing hunger and homelessness in the City of York. With Kitchen for Everyone York giving out around 50 pots of noodles per week, they’re set to be covered for a number of months now during some of the coldest months on the calendar.
A further £300 was also donated in cash, which again will go a long to supporting the crucial work being done in the local community by our Charity Partner.
At half time, Michael from Kitchen for Everyone York was also presented with Callum Harriott’s match-worn home shirt.
Following a kind gesture from Julian Parker, Executive Chairman of Titan Institutional Services (Titan Wealth Group) in October, Harriott’s home shirt was sponsored by KEY until the winger departed for family reasons.
Thank you to the kindness shown by everybody involved: supporters, players, and staff, who all gave generously.
