This section of our website is dedicated to families and City ‘debutants’ – young fans making their first visit to LNER Community Stadium.
York City prides itself on being a community-centred, family club. We aim to offer a safe environment, a warm welcome and we want every visitor, both young and old, to have a positive matchday experience.
Tickets for Families and Young Supporters
As per clause 6.3 of the Ticketing Policy, children under 2 years old are not allowed entry into the ground on matchday. Please note that for safety reasons all U14s must be accompanied by an adult to enter the stadium.
Our Family Section is in Block A of the East Stand so we encourage any supporters bringing children to book tickets in that area of the stadium.

Food & Drink
There are a number of food kiosks around the ground selling hot food, including burgers, pies, hot dogs, match day specials such as nachos and cheese, sweets, chocolate and hot and cold drinks. These are located in the Fan Zone and in the North, West and Brew York South Stand concourses.
Merchandise & Gifts
The Club Shop, which sells replica kits, clothing, souvenirs and gifts, is situated at the front of the stadium in the community hub area. Alternatively, you can also browse our range of products in our online shop.
Junior Reds
We re-introduced the popular membership scheme last season, which went down a storm, and we are pleased to say it’s now open for the new campaign.
Becoming a Junior Red unlocks access to exclusive discounts, opportunities to win exciting prizes throughout the year, the chance to meet the players, plus much more.
2025/26 promises to be a great season for the club, so there’s no better time to treat a young City fan to a Junior Red membership for just £20!
Lego in the Library
Thanks to our friends at York Explore Library, we have boxes of Lego and Duplo available for young supporters to get creative with. We also have a selection of board games to keep you entertained pre-match.
Stadium Announcement Requests and Supporter Debuts
The club’s matchday programme, priced £3, has a section dedicated to young fans. The programme is always keen to feature fans celebrating their birthdays, or supporters making their ‘debut’ at York City.
We can also arrange for a special message to be read out at half-time by our matchday announcer. Send us your message by completing this form so we can share it with our Stadium Announcer, then listen out just after the half-time whistle to hear it!
If you’d like your message to appear in the match day programme, please also send a photo to accompany it to [email protected] and we’ll do our best to include it. Please note, we need a minimum of 5 working days for inclusion so if we receive this after that time then, unfortunately, we will not be able to include your message.
For those making their first appearance at a home match, supporters aged 16 and under can receive a Supporter Debut certificate at their first York City fixture at LNER Community Stadium, which can be collected from the Club Shop before the match. Just complete this form to let us know which fixture you’re making your debut at.
Yorkie
Look out for our lovable mascot, Yorkie, around the stadium on match day. We have a new and original version so keep your eye out for both of them and make sure you go over to say hello!
