FA Youth Cup Preview | York City vs Workington AFC

By Brad Saxton

The Young Minstermen kick-start their FA Youth Cup campaign this evening in the 2nd Qualifying Round when they take on Workington AFC at the Bannister Prentice Stadium in Garforth.

We thank Garforth Town AFC for allowing us to be able to play this game at their stadium this evening.

The Youth Team have started strongly this season in the league, as they currently sit top of the U19 National League Alliance Academy North after three games.

Their campaign started with a 2-2 draw against Boston United, but back-to-back wins currently see the side sit top of the league with a possible seven points from nine.

Workington travel down to Yorkshire hoping to carry on their run in this year’s competition. Their journey in this season’s competition started in the Preliminary Round, but they were given a bye to advance, before they went on to beat Morpeth Town on penalties in the previous round.

Tickets are only available on the night of the game and entry is priced as follows….
