Congratulations to York City Academy, who have secured a spot in the National League Football Academy Cup Final for the second year running!
York City’s Under-19s saw success at St George’s Park last season, beating Woking by a solitary goal, and they will look to repeat the feat in 2023/24.
Goals from Bill Marshall and Leon Gibson-Booth fired the young Minstermen past a Blyth Spartans side that had been reduced to ten men in the second half, on Wednesday, in the semi-final of the competition.
They will now go on to face Maidstone United, who edged past Aldershot Town in their semi-final, in a bid to lift the trophy once again.
The final is set to be hosted at St George’s Park on Wednesday 1st May, with further details to be confirmed in due course.
