York City FC can confirm that we have parted company with manager Adam Hinshelwood with immediate effect.
The 41-year-old joined the club in the winter of 2024. Adam helped guide the club to safety in the 23/24 season before helping City to a 2nd place finish in the National League last season.
Co-chairs Matt and Julie-Anne Uggla said, “We would like to thank Adam for everything he has done for the club since his arrival early last year. We wish him nothing but the very best for the future. We look forward to announcing the new manager in due course for this next chapter for the club.”
First team coach Cam Morrison will also be departing. Assistant Manager Gary Elphick has been placed in temporary charge. We look forward to announcing the new manager soon.
