Matchday Mascot

York City FC are delighted to welcome children to be matchday mascots for first team fixtures at the LNER Community Stadium.

For those looking to provide a special memory for a young supporter, book a Matchday Mascot package and watch your child walk out with a player in the starting XI ahead of kick-off. This opportunity is open to York City supporters as well as any of our visiting teams.

Please note the age limit for mascots is 5-16 year olds.

Matchday Mascot packages are only available to existing ticket holders (either season ticket or single match ticket), meaning match tickets must be purchased separately. Match tickets must be purchased for all Mascots and accompanying adults.

Mascot Packages

We are pleased to introduce variants of our Mascot packages for the 2026/27 season. Each fixture will have 11 x spaces available for 1 x package only, please see the descriptions below for further details.

Community Package

Available for a limited number of fixtures, including pre-season and early cup competitions, this is our basic Mascot package designed as an affordable option to engage as many supporters as possible.

This package includes:

• Mascot name and photo in the official matchday programme (this must be sent to [email protected]no later than 5 working days prior to kick off) – please note, this is not available for pre-season fixtures due to a combined programme.
• Mascot photo on the stadium’s big screen.
• Pitch-side match experience before kick-off.
• Pre-match photo in the home dugout.
• Walk out with a City player ahead of kick-off.

Cost: £10 per Mascot

Please note, this package is available to home supporters on specified fixtures and away supporters at all fixtures.

Main Event Package

New for the 2026/27 season, our enhanced Mascot package is a unique match day experience for those looking to provide a special memory for a young supporter. The Main Event Package will be available for all 23 EFL League Two home fixtures and selected cup competitions.

This package includes:

• Exclusive Mascot kit (shirt, shorts and socks*) to be worn for the day and is yours to keep – please note that this is not a replica kit but is a mascot-specific one that cannot be purchased elsewhere.
• Limited edition match day pin badge.
• Mascot name and photo in the official matchday programme (this must be sent to [email protected]no later than 5 working days prior to kick off) – please note, this is not available for pre-season fixtures due to a combined programme.
• Mascot photo on the stadium’s big screen.
• Pitch-side match experience before kick-off.
• Pre-match photo in the home dugout.
• Walk out with a City player ahead of kick-off.

*Due to limited private changing spaces, wherever possible please collect your kit in advance and arrive wearing it. Changing spaces can be provided but please make every effort to collect your kit prior to match day.

Cost: £90 per Mascot
