Introducing The Island as a 2025/26 York City Charity Partner

We are proud to unveil The Island as a brand new charity partner for the 2025/26 season.

After the huge success of last season, working alongside four charity partners, we are pleased to be once again doing the same with Age UK York, the first confirmed charity involved. The Island has now become our second confirmed charity partner that we will be working alongside this season!

Last year, whilst hosting a gala dinner raffle along with the mascot gold cup race, we managed to raise funds for all our partners to help with their work in our community.

Each charity also has its own dedicated focus fixture, allowing each charity to showcase itself on its own dedicated match day with us all at the LNER Community Stadium.

The Island

The Island is a York-based charity dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 8 to 18 and their families through tailored and holistic mentoring services. Over the past two decades, we’ve provided life-changing support to thousands of young people, supporting them to build confidence, resilience, and brighter futures.

Paul Devlin, Trustee and Interim CEO at The Island, said, “We are proud to be one of York City Football Club’s charity partners. This partnership marks an exciting opportunity to work together in support of young people across our city. At The Island, we believe in the power of community to change lives, and we’re truly grateful to York City FC for standing alongside us in that mission. We are really enthusiastic about what we can achieve together for the future of York’s young people.”
