We are delighted to announce that Alex Hunt has signed a contract extension at York City FC.
The 25-year-old has signed a new multi-year deal with the club.
Alex joined the club on loan in February 2024 from Grimsby Town. In his loan spell, he helped guide the club to safety from relegation, making 9 appearances.
The midfielder then put pen to paper that summer to sign for the Minstermen on a permanent deal. Last season, he made 46 appearances in the league, scoring 4 times and assisting 9. So far this season, he’s featured 8 times for City, scoring 3 times, including that memorable brace against Tamworth just two weeks ago.
