York City were thrilled to announce the signing of Craig Hewitt in early November 2025.
The left-sided player joined us on a permanent deal from Chorley.
His career began at championship side Coventry City, where he worked his way up the academy before departing in 2022.
In September 2022, Hewitt joined Banbury on a permanent deal. He went on to feature 44 times for the National North side.
Ahead of the 24/25 season, he joined fellow National League North side Chorley. He featured 18 times for the Magpies that season, scoring four and assisting two.
In 2025/26, for Chorley, he registered 13 appearances in the league, scoring six goals, before putting pen to paper with the Minstermen.
The attacking player was handed his first minutes in a City shirt off the bench at Eastleigh, where he went on to net a debut goal to put us in front.
