York City head to Brackley Town this Saturday in the Enterprise National League (3pm kick-off).
City will be looking to add another victory to their excellent run at the moment, having won four in a row, scoring four goals in each of those games.
For the first time this month, we have had a full week off with no midweek fixture. The last time we were in action was last weekend at the LNER Community Stadium, where we came back from 2-1 down to win 4-2 against Morecambe, just as we did a week earlier at Eastleigh.
Our upcoming opponents, Brackley, are enjoying their first-ever season in the fifth tier, after winning the National League North title on the final day of the season.
So far, the Saints have had a mixed start to life in this division, winning five, drawing five, and losing nine.
They sit 17th, and are currently on a three-game losing run, the most recent of those coming away at Morecambe.
Last time we faced Brackley was a memorable afternoon at St James Park, as the Minstermen secured their spot in the National League North Promotion Final back in 2022.
Lenell John-Lewis scored the only goal, while Pete Jameson saved a spot-kick down the opposite end.
