Our North Riding Senior Cup campaign begins on Wednesday with a Second Round tie away at Yarm & Eaglescliffe (7:30pm kick-off).
The game will be held at Bedford Terrace, the home of Billingham Town, who groundshare with Yarm & Eaglescliffe.
A City XI will travel there in midweek, hoping to advance a round further than last year, when we were knocked out away at TIBS on penalties, following a 2-2 draw.
The last time that the Minstermen lifted silverware in this competition was in 2009/10, our eleventh championship.
Opponents Yarm & Eaglescliffe are a relatively new club, having only been founded in 2017.
Managed by Glenn Kyle, they ply their trade in the Northern League Division Two, and currently sit second in the table, six points behind leaders Redcar Town.

Tickets are available at the gate – our hosts accept both card and cash.

The cafe will be open selling hot drinks, burgers, hot dogs, chips and Taylors Pies from 6:30pm.
The clubhouse will also be open from around 6pm.
Programmes are available to purchase on the day too.

Parking: There is a car park at the ground, which has a capacity of around 70 cars.
With surrounding streets being very narrow, parking there is discouraged.
Instead, our hosts would recommend parking on Cowpen Lane.

Train: There is no direct train from York to Billingham.
TransPennine run an hourly service to Thornaby, where you can change to get to Billingham, with Northern.
The journey takes around 70 minutes in total.
Bus: There will NOT be a supporters coach for this fixture.
