Match Preview | Solihull Moors (A) | Saturday 31st January

The Minstermen make the trip to the Midlands this coming Saturday, as we take on Solihull Moors at Damson Park (3pm kick-off).

Rochdale’s win in mid-week means York City drop to second in the Enterprise National League, but Stuart Maynard’s side could not be in much better form heading into this one.

Unbeaten in sixteen league games, our latest result was a 5-0 thrashing of Braintree Town, with Ollie Pearce grabbing his fourth hat-trick in red and blue.

Under the helm of Chris Millington, following a mid-season managerial switch, Solihull sit tenth, but continue to aim higher. They have lost just two of their last nine, with those defeats coming against sides in the top three.

Last weekend, the Moors recorded a 2-0 victory at Morecambe – Conor Wilkinson put them ahead in the 17th minute, before Darius Lipsiuc doubled the advantage in the second half.

The last time we met, Solihull condemned us to our first loss of the season, through Jacob Wakeling’s stoppage-time strike.
