There’s little break from match action for the Minstermen, as we head north to Gateshead on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off).
Josh Stones put City two up against Brackley Town in the first half on Saturday, before Greg Olley and Ollie Pearce chipped in to seal a dominant 4-0 win, keeping us two points behind the league leaders.
Gateshead, who have been in excellent form of late following the re-appointment of manager Rob Elliott, were dealt a slight setback in their survival challenge at the weekend, beaten 3-0 away at Boreham Wood.
Goal difference is all that keeps the Heed under the red line as it stands now.
We were comfortably victorious in the reverse fixture at the LNER, winning 4-0, whilst we also came away with a 3-1 win at the GIS last season.
