What We Offer

As part of an invitation to join the Academy, we commit to providing you with a minimum of:

We will also look to organise appropriate level friendly fixtures with different opponents to continue to stretch and develop the players in our care.

How we recruit talent

Membership of the Academy is by invitation only. We conduct extensive scouting throughout the Yorkshire region and collaborate with schools, colleges and third party scouts to identify talent that suits our model.

If you are a teacher or coach with a talented young person aged 9-15 that you feel may meet our criteria, please get in touch with Dan Wilson, Head of Youth Development at [email protected]

Please note that subscriptions to join the Academy are payable monthly. Training kit must be purchased separately, but match kit is provided free of charge.

OUR SUPPORT SERVICES

Regular Fitness Testing

Players in the U12 – 19 age groups will engage in fitness testing up to three times per season. These will be delivered by York St John University staff and students during the summer holidays, February half-term, and June half-term.

These tests will be used to benchmark players in key aspects of their fitness, inform us about the players’ growth spurts and give us an idea of their final height when fully grown.

Physiotherapist Support

The club provide physiotherapy services to all players from U9s to first team. These services at U9 – 16 age groups are delivered by a club physio and supported by students from York St John University. Access to the part-time therapist will be at all training sessions and at home games on a Saturday.

The U19s will have access to both full- and part-time physios at all sessions should they require it. All medical services, including physiotherapy, are overseen by the Club Doctor.
