York City FC can confirm the departure of left-back Alex Whittle by mutual consent.
Alex joined the Minstermen for his second spell at the club ahead of last season, and made 34 appearances as City successfully fought against relegation.
This total took the defender beyond the 100 appearances milestone as a York City player.
