York City Football Club Foundation is launching our very first Bootham Timeline Trail – a special sponsored walk to raise vital funds for our Memories groups, supporting those in our community living with Parkinson’s, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or at risk of loneliness and isolation.
🗓 Date: Sunday 14th September 2025
📍 Start: Persimmon Homes development where Bootham Crescent once stood
⏰ Arrival: 10:30am for 10.45am start
🚶 Distance: 3.5 miles (with memory quiz stops and water breaks along the way!)
York City FC Foundation’s Sporting Memories groups are a lifeline for many, offering sport-based reminiscence activities, quizzes, and companionship. Richard, a regular attendee, says:
“It’s the highlight of my week. I love the community we have.”
We’re aiming to raise £4,000, enough to fund a full year of sessions.
