HONOURING OUR GREATEST PLAYERS
Towards the end of each season, the fans of York City Football Club are asked to vote for their Clubman of the Year.
The winner of the vote receives the Billy Fenton Memorial Trophy which is in memory of legendary City player Billy Fenton, and the award has been presented through the decades by Billy’s widow Margot and son Dave.
The voting criteria for selecting the winner of the award is based on three aspects:
- Sportmanship;
- Effort on the field of play;
- Ability.
The award celebrated it’s 51st year at the end of the 2023/24 season when the award was won by Ryan Fallowfield (pictured below).
