A place in the First Round of the FA Youth Cup is up for grabs on Thursday evening when York City U18s play Boro Rangers U18s at Mill Lane, the home of Pickering Town (7:30pm kick-off).
The young Minstermen progressed through to the Third Round Qualifying following a professional 6-0 win at Bradford Park Avenue a couple of weeks ago.
Sutton Greening netted a first-half hat-trick, before goals from Ed Campbell, Eddie Kettlewell, and Tom Hewson finished the job off.
Our opponents began their Youth Cup campaign at Pickering in the early rounds, where they cruised through to play Morpeth, who they surpassed with a 1-0 win to get to the Second Round Qualifying.
Boro edged past South Shields in the last round, with a 3-2 thriller going their way. Lyle Hardisty and Jayden Jefferson were on the scoresheet for the hosts.
