Midfielder Finlay Barnes has joined Vanarama National League North side Scarborough Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
Barnes initially joined Scarborough Athletic on loan in September, following a short stint with Darlington prior to that.
The 23-year-old featured 15 times for the Seadogs in all competitions, scoring twice in back-to-back fixtures against King’s Lynn Town and Bishop’s Stortford.
A return to the Minstermen in January saw the midfielder feature against Hartlepool United and Maidenhead United, before a full 90 minutes was clocked against Dorking Wanderers at home.
His most recent appearance against AFC Fylde, at the beginning of the month, saw the midfielder pick up an assist from a well delivered corner.
In total, the midfielder made six appearances whilst back at City between January and March.
The Seadogs have hit a rough patch towards the latter stage of their season, not winning any of their last ten games.
With six games remaining, a seven-point gap has now opened between themselves and the playoff spots.
Scarborough will have to return to winning ways when they face bottom of the table Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday, March 23rd, to have any chance of clawing back up to the play-off positions.
Subject to league and FA approval.
