We are very proud to say that the late Graeme Crawford will be inducted as a new legacy ambassador.
Graeme, who passed away in May, was a proud member of our club ambassadors, with him being one of the very first inductees last year.
Crawford made a total of 280 appearances during two stints for the club between 1971 and 1980. Notably featuring in the 1973/74 promotion-winning team, which took the club into the old Second Division. During that campaign, Graeme kept a clean sheet in 11 successive games, equalling a Football League record. He then went on to play in every game in City’s two seasons in the Second Division (now the Championship), competing against teams of the calibre of Manchester United, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest.
Launching Graeme as a new legacy ambassador will continue to preserve his legacy and achievements, not only for his contributions on the pitch but also off it as well as an ambassador.
The new legacy ambassadors scheme will help to celebrate achievements from City legends who are unfortunately no longer with us.
