York City would firstly like to apologise for the significant delay throughout the reimbursement process, which was promised to supporters by Co-Chairs Matt and Julie-Anne Uggla.
After meticulous conversations with the host that evening [Altrincham Football Club] following the result, they have since confirmed that reimbursements in fact cannot be processed by themselves directly due to a number of operational and legal constraints.
An alternative solution is now being drawn up by the football club as soon as possible, which also works within the guidance and capabilities of Altrincham Football Club, which we hope to have in place for next week.
