The MinsterBelles are back on the road for a second weekend in a row as we travel to Olivers Mount to take on Handsworth Ladies in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup First Round Proper this Sunday November 3rd (2pm kick off).
Emily Senior’s side were edged out at The Stafflex Arena last weekend as an own-goal and a smart finish from Scarlett McMahon saw Huddersfield Town Women take the three points.
The MinsterBelles were last in Adobe Women’s FA Cup action in October as we beat Fleetwood Town Wrens in the Third Qualifying Round courtesy of a goals from Faye Singleton, Ruby Gore and Grace Sykes.
The Opposition
Handsworth Ladies have made a strong start to the season in the Northeast Regional Women’s Football League sitting in fifth position, just one place below our Development Team, having picked up four wins this season. Their most reason victory was against Sheffield Wednesday Ladies, last weekend, as they ran out 6-0 winners.
In the last round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, they edged out Brunsmeer Athletic AFC Women to reach the First Round Proper.
