Ladies Match Preview | Huddersfield Town Women (A) | Sunday, October 27th

The MinsterBelles are back on the road this weekend as we travel to The Stafflex Arena to take on Huddersfield Town Women in the FA Women’s National League Division One north this Sunday October 27th (2pm kick off).

Emily Senior’s side were without a game last weekend, with the new manager taking the opportunity to work with the team on the training pitch having had limited time to start to implement her style of football.

We were last in league action as we travelled to Redcar Athletic for the rearranged fixture against Middlesbrough Women. Despite a spirited defensive performance, goals from Millie Bell and a double from Lauren Robson helped Michael Mulhern’s take all three points.

The Opposition

Glen Preston’s side have made a reasonable start to the season, having been relegated from the FA Women’s National League North last campaign. Their three league wins have come against Leeds United, Stockport County and most recently Durham Cestria, when an 80th minute strike from Leah Jade Embley helped them snatch all three points on the road.

Former MinsterBelles winger Ella Duffield could feature for The Terriers this weekend having made the move during the Summer.  She also featured during the FA Women’s National League Cup fixture when The Terriers ran out 3-1 winners against The MinsterBelles back in September.
