The MinsterBelles return to York Sport Stadium for the first time in 2025 as they host Norton & Stockton Ancients (2pm kick-off).

Emily Senior’s side currently sit 12th in the FA Women’s National League Division One North table but have put in a number of encouraging performances before the Christmas break, as they were involved in an eight-goal thriller at Chorley before being narrowly beaten by second place Cheadle Town Stingers.

Her side were made to wait for their first game of 2025, as the trip to Doncaster Rovers Belles, on Sunday, was postponed due to the wintery weather.

The two sides have already met twice this season, with 16 goals scored across the two matches. First the MinsterBelles progressing through to the next round of the FA Women’s National League Cup before narrowly winning, 3-2, away from home back in August.

This weekend, we also welcome Fulford Girls U12’s as our Ball Team and Pocklington Pythons U11’s as our Player Mascots.

The Opposition:

This afternoon’s visitors sit just one point above Emily Senior’s side in 9th position having picked up three wins this season so far.

Within the Norton & Stockton Ancients ranks is the FA Women’s National League North current top goal scorer Bianca Owens, who has found the back of the net 16 times this season.

Their most recent game, similarly to the MinsterBelles, was postponed due to the wintery weather.
