Loan Watch | Sykes-Kenworthy is shoot-out hero while Dyson heads for Wembley

We check in on our players out on loan as we head towards the end of the season…

Our former Clubman of the Year winner has had an excellent season with Spennymoor Town, and there’s still more to come.

The 25-year-old has played 49 games in all competitions for the Moors so far, missing just one.

He has chipped in with four National League North goals and three assists, his most recent strike being crucial in a 2-1 win over rivals Darlington.

Spennymoor head into the final three games with a slight chance of being able to sneak a playoff place, sitting four points adrift.

Away from the league, Dyson has played every minute of his side’s impressive Isuzu FA Trophy campaign, overcoming higher league opposition on multiple occasions to reach the showpiece final at Wembley Stadium, where they will face Aldershot Town.

Goalkeeper Sykes-Kenworthy joined Alfreton Town on loan in March and has been ever-present for the National League North outfit so far.

The Reds’ status in the sixth tier is safe despite three games remaining.

The 25-year-old’s tenure between the sticks has seen him keep three clean sheets and has conceded just four goals across six league games.

Earlier this week, the shot-stopper’s heroics saw Alfreton clinch victory in the Derbyshire Senior Challenge Cup Final, saving two penalties in the shootout following a goalless draw.

Zanda Siziba

Siziba started the season on loan at Spennymoor along with Dyson, netting in a 4-2 win over Radcliffe.

His second spell of the campaign came at Hampton & Richmond Borough, where he has played ten times and scored three, including one at the weekend during the Beavers’ thrashing of Welling United.

Thierry Latty-Fairweather

After a successful first half of the season with Maidenhead, Latty-Fairweather quickly returned for part two in 2024/25.

The left-back has played 36 games so far in all competitions, missing a handful of matches due to suspension and, of course, against the Minstermen.

His solitary goal in black and white came while playing in midfield, in a 4-1 home win over relegation rivals AFC Fylde.

As it stands, the Magpies are five points off safety with just three games to go.

Leone Gravata

The 23-year-old began the season with City, but after failing to make an appearance in the opening ten games, his loan spell down south at Chippenham Town commenced.

He had an excellent start to life in Wiltshire, scoring twice in his first three appearances.

The good form has continued throughout the term, chipping in with eleven goal contributions.

The Bluebirds sit comfortably in mid-table as we close in on the end of the season.

Maz Kouhyar

Winger Kouhyar has enjoyed a successful season with National League North outfit Kidderminster Harriers so far.

He set the tempo on opening day, assisting the first goal and scoring the second in a 2-1 win at Darlington, and hasn’t looked back since.

The Afghan international has eleven goals to his name and nine assists too, as he and Harriers continue to put the pressure on league leaders Scunthorpe United, who are ahead by just a point.

Levi Andoh

The right-back’s time with the Minstermen so far has been restricted due to an unfortunate injury at the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign.

However, he continues to build fitness and get important minutes during his third loan spell.

Andoh’s season began at Darlington, where he played his first competitive match for almost a year.

He moved south to Truro City next, working under former City boss John Askey, and played five times, including two full ninety minutes.

The 25-year-old is now at Hereford, where he returned in early 2025. His first match back at Edgar Park saw him score a dramatic late winner against Brackley Town.

He’s since gone on to appear ten more times for the playoff hopefuls.

Mo Fadera

Youngster Fadera has had a fairly good start to life in professional football, having played for local York club Hamilton Panthers not so long ago.

He joined National League North leaders Scunthorpe United on loan last year – now into the run-in, the attacker has three goals and an assist to his name.

He also scored in the Iron’s County Cup Final, which was eventually won on penalties.

Tyler Cordner

The defender has been in and out of the Ebbsfleet United team whilst on loan this season, playing 16 times.

He scored once in a defeat against Gateshead, but the Fleet would go on to be relegated over a month before the season concludes.

Darragh O’Connor

Defender O’Connor returned to Scotland for a loan spell at Falkirk earlier this year.

Unfortunately, injury has restricted the 25-year-old to just one appearance for the Scottish Championship table toppers.
