The Minstermen return to Vanarama National League action this coming Saturday when we face a trip back across to the North-West to take on AFC Fylde at Mill Farm.
Neal Ardley’s side head into this weekend’s fixture having had a full week to prepare on the training ground ahead of this fixture.
City go into this game unbeaten in their last two fixtures, which has seen Ardley’s side come from behind to secure a point at home to FC Halifax Town two weeks ago, before a goalless draw last Saturday at Chester FC saw us earn an Emirates FA Cup First Round replay.
This weekend’s hosts head into Saturday’s game on the back of last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at League Two side Sutton United in the Emirates FA Cup, but their league form heading into this one looks promising as they’re currently three games unbeaten in the National League.
After drawing at home to Ebbsfleet United on the 21st October, they’ve won back-to-back games in the league after securing a 3-0 win at home against Oldham Athletic and a 4-0 win at Gateshead two weeks ago.
Both Fylde and the Minstermen sit level on points in the National League table, but this weekend’s hosts currently sit two places above City on goal difference just outside of the relegation zone.
