York City are back on the road this weekend in a first of back-to-back away fixtures, firstly travelling to face Aldershot Town on Saturday, September 21st (3pm kick off).

Adam Hinshelwood’s side lead the way after nine matchdays, forming a two-point cushion at the top of the league table following last Saturday’s 3-0 victory against AFC Fylde.

Aldershot Town have had an inconsistent start to the 2024/25 campaign after winning, losing and drawing three of each.

Shots’ last league victory came on August 31st when they beat Maidenhead United in a 4-3 cracker at The EBB Stadium.

Tommy Widdrington’s side are fourth in the scoring charts, having netted 16 goal so far, more than City’s 15. Keeping them out has proved a problem so far however with 15 conceded, and only two clean sheets in nine.
