York City head into Emirates FA Cup action this weekend, travelling to face Biggleswade FC in the Fourth Qualifying Round (3pm kick off).

The Minstermen travel south to face a tier seven side who were only formed in 2016.

A member of the Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central, Biggleswade have had to win an impressive six fixtures to reach the Fourth Qualifying Round stage in order to face The Minstermen.

Biggleswade, who groundshare with Bedford Town FC, have already struck record ticket sales for the game and have described the occasion as their “biggest game since forming in 2016.”

Adam Hinshelwood’s side head into the tie eight unbeaten in the Vanarama National League, and will be looking to extend that form in a different competition.

TICKETS

Tickets are on sale through the host club’s ticketing platform, which can be found by clicking here.

Advanced ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adult: £10
  • Concession (Over 65s): £7
  • Under 16s*: £1

*When accompanied by paying adult or concession.

On matchday, ‘Adult’ and ‘Concession’ price bands increase by £2, whilst ‘Under 16s’ increase by £1.

York City supporters have been given an initial allocation of 500, however Biggleswade have stated that this can rise should there be sufficient demand.

Biggleswade are advising supporters to purchase their tickets in advance given the occasion.

Bus: York Pullman are running a bus to the fixture.

Departure from Memorial Gardens in York City Centre will be 10am, with collection in Acomb 10 minutes later.

Payments for travel need to be made in advance, with no cash being take on the day of travel.

Train: Bedford is served by frequent trains to and from London St Pancras, but please do note that the rail station is a 3.5 mile walk.

Take a direct train from York railway station to London King’s Cross (please note engineering works are in place this weekend).

From there, head to London St Pancras and catch a Thameslink or EMR service.

There are also other alternative routes, going via Sheffield too.
