York City have the opportunity to extend their winning run to three games when they make the trip to Braintree Town this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Stuart Maynard’s tenure as City boss has started in the best possible way, with back-to-back victories which have seen us score seven goals, and conceding just the one.
Two sensational strikes from Alex Hunt stole the show during our midweek 4-0 win at home to Tamworth, after we had secured a crucial three points at Yeovil days earlier.
Braintree, on the other hand, have only won once since their opening day triumph over Halifax – a 1-0 success against Yeovil was three weeks ago now, and having lost two consecutive games coming into this one, the Iron will be eager to get back on track.
The last time we travelled to the Rare Breed Meat Co. Stadium, we were defeated 2-1 by our hosts.
