The Minstermen make another long journey South this Saturday to face Braintree Town at the Rare Breed Meat Co. Stadium in our second away game in our triple header. (3pm kick-off).
City head to Essex off the back of a 1-0 victory away to Yeovil Town down in Somerset last weekend. An Ollie Pearce penalty was the difference in that contest.
The Minstermen still sit firmly in second place in the Vanarama National League with Forest Green behind by two points having played a game more.
Saturday’s hosts currently hold 17th place, 8 points above the drop zone, they have however played two games more than relegation rivals Boston United.
The Iron pulled off one of the shock results of the season on Tuesday when they ran out 3-1 winners over promotion pushing Gateshead in their own back yard.

TRAVEL
Bus: York Pullman will be running a bus to the fixture.
The coach will leave Memorial Gardens at 08:00am and Acomb 10 minutes later. The cost is £50 per adult and accompanied 16’s and under at £45.
Payments for travel need to be made in advance, with no cash being take on the day of travel.

Train: Braintree has two railway stations, Braintree and Braintree Freeport. Both are around a 22 minute walk from the stadium. Taking a bus from either station to the ground will take around 19 minutes.
