A final day visit to the South awaits York City, who face Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium this bank holiday Monday (3pm kick-off).
City had second place confirmed on Saturday afternoon following a 2-0 win at the LNER over Solihull Moors. Cam John opened the scoring to grab his first goal in City colours before super sub Dipo Akinyemi marked his return to the squad with a goal, ensuring the points would be staying in North Yorkshire.
Following results elsewhere at Barnet, City were confirmed runners up in this year’s Vanarama National League and will now face the winner of Eliminator A on Tuesday 20th May.
Our opponents, Eastleigh, also are without outcomes to fight for; the highest position they can now finish is their current position, 11th.
In their last outing, they played their part in an entertaining score draw away at Woking. Tyrese Shade got both Spitfire goals, but it wasn’t enough for the win as goals from O’Brien and Andrews secured a point for the home side.
Our last meeting with Eastleigh came back in September when there was nothing to separate the two sides in a goalless draw at the LNER Community Stadium.

Bus: York Pullman will be running a bus to the fixture.
Departure from Memorial Gardens in York city centre will be 7am, with collection in Acomb 10 minutes later.
Payments for travel need to be made in advance, with no cash being taken on the day of travel.
