Match Preview | FC Halifax Town (A) | Saturday 25th October

York City will be looking for victory in the Yorkshire derby this Saturday when we make the short journey West to face FC Halifax Town at the Shay for a 12:30 pm kick-off.

City were held to a score draw in mid-week against an in-form Boreham Wood side. It was two fightbacks that saw the Minstermen take a point from this fixture, with Alex Newby and Ryan Fallowfield getting their name on the scoresheet.

FC Halifax Town have started life under new boss Adam Lakeland well, having picked up 24 points from their 15 games so far. Leaving them just outside the play-offs by a single point.

They also, however, lost last weekend in the dying seconds away to Truro City.

The last time these two sides faced each other was in February, when again the late show provided City drama as Callum Howe scored an 100th minute equaliser to steal a point.
