York City are back in action against FC Halifax Town at The Shay Stadium on Tuesday, April 2nd (7.45pm kick off), following a waterlogged pitch on Easter Monday.

Adam Hinshelwood’s side go into the game with three consecutive victories under their belt, and confidence oozing out of the side.

City hadn’t clocked three consecutive league victories in a row e since May 2022, until Chesterfield were beaten 2-1 at the LNER Community Stadium on Good Friday.

FC Halifax Town come into the fixture in hot form, having won seven of their previous nine Vanarama National League fixtures.

It was defeat on the road up in Hartlepool for the Shaymen on Good Friday though, with their former striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe netting a penalty to take three points from the play-off chasers.

Tickets

There are NO advance ticket sales. Admission at the turnstile is cash only.

Tickets for admission are priced at:

  • Adult: £21
  • Concessions (state pension age): £18
  • Aged 17-12: £9
  • Under 12s: £4

All 14-year-olds and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

Disabled supporters pay admission prices as per their relevant age group. A carer, if required, is admitted free of charge. Please go to FC Halifax Town’s reception on the day for assistance.

FC Halifax Town also politely ask that it would be a huge help for everyone concerned if the correct money was handed to the turnstile operator.

Travel

Stadium Postcode: HX1 2YS (HX1 2YT for sat navs)

Parking: Not available at the stadium. Alternative options include utilising street parking down several streets which surround the ground, or utilising car parks which can be found within the town centre.

Train: Halifax railway station (nearest station) is approximately a ten minute walk.

Supporters can take direct, hourly, trains from York railway station to Halifax, or alternatively catch a service to Leeds and change there for onward connections to Halifax.

Bus: York Pullman are running a bus to the fixture. Coach tickets already purchased are VALID.

Departure from Memorial Gardens in York City Centre is now 5pm, with collection in Acomb 15 minutes later.

Payments for travel need to be made in advance, with no cash being take on the day of travel.
