York City make the trip west to the Mazuma Mobile Stadium this Saturday evening, our first trip to Morecambe since 2016 (5:30pm kick-off).

The Minstermen equalled a club record of eight straight league wins on Tuesday evening with a memorable 3-0 victory away at Scunthorpe.

Josh Stones grabbed a brace on the night, with Joe Grey also heading in one of his own in between.

23 games unbeaten, City are back at the summit of the table, while our opponents, Morecambe, struggle down in 22nd.

Now under the management of Jim Bentley, the Shrimps have lost two of their last six, with the most recent result being a midweek goal-fest at Gateshead.

In a topsy-turvy game, which saw Billy Chadwick hit a treble for the hosts, Morecambe’s Chris Popov also bagged a hat-trick in a 4-4 draw.

Last time we faced the Lancashire outfit, it ended 4-2 to City back in November.

Tickets for this fixture are allocated in the Dennison Trailers Terrace (standing) and the Castle Windows Stand (seated).

There will be a £2 per ticket increase for on-the-day sales.

Children under the age of 2 are not permitted into the stadium bowl.

There are 5 wheelchair bays and carer tickets available on a first come first served basis. All wheelchair spaces are within the away end. Disabled and ambulant disabled should pay the age-appropriate rate and are entitled to one complimentary carer ticket, upon proof of their Access Card.

TRAVEL

Parking: General parking is available to purchase at a cost of £10 per car.

You can book a space by calling the Morecambe FC Club Shop direct on 01524 411797 (ext. 3) or by clicking HERE. This is on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Anyone wishing to book a disabled parking bay must call the Morecambe FC Club Shop and provide the driver’s name and car registration plate. 

Train: The nearest train station is Morecambe.

To get there, you will have to catch a train from York to Manchester Victoria, before using Northern to reach Morecambe, changing at Bolton and Lancaster.

The entire journey takes just over four hours.

The stadium is about a 20-minute walk from the station.

Bus: York Pullman will be running a bus to the fixture.

Departure from Memorial Gardens in York city centre will be 12pm, with collection in Acomb 10 minutes later.

Payments for travel need to be made in advance, with no cash being taken on the day of travel.
