Match Preview | Rochdale vs York City

After three weeks away, the Minstermen return to Vanarama National League action this coming weekend when we travel to the Crown Oil Arena to take on Rochdale.

After taking on Wigan Athletic and Nantwich Town over the last couple of weeks in both the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Trophy respectively, attentions now turn back to league action this Saturday for Neal Ardley’s side.

In our last National League outing, the Minstermen came from behind to secure a point on the road at Maidenhead United, which extended a run in the league to only one defeat in the last five league games for Ardley’s side.

This weekend’s hosts come into this game hoping to return to winning ways in the league after they fell to a 1-0 defeat on the road to Bromley two weeks ago.

Prior to this defeat, Rochdale secured three wins on the bounce against Aldershot Town (2-1), Altrincham (3-0) and Dagenham and Redbridge (2-1).

Their most recent outing came on Tuesday evening as Jim McNulty’s side fell to a 5-1 home defeat to Gateshead in the 3rd Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy.
