Match Preview | Truro City (A) | Saturday 16th August

Our Enterprise National League campaign continues on Saturday with a mammoth trip to division newcomers Truro City (5:30pm kick-off).

City began their 2025/26 season last weekend, playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Sutton United.

Ollie Pearce put us ahead from the spot, but his early penalty was cancelled out before the break, before an own goal restored our lead in the second half. An 87th-minute equaliser from the visitors denied the Minstermen all three points, but the result got us off the mark on matchday one.

For Truro City, this is uncharted territory, having won promotion to the National League for the first time ever last season.

Under the helm of former City boss John Askey, the Tinners became the first Cornwall-based side to play in the top five divisions; however, they didn’t get off to the dream start on the opening day, falling to a 2-0 defeat at Wealdstone.

In front of the DAZN cameras, all eyes will be on the Truro City Stadium this Saturday, when we make our longest ever journey for a league match.

This will be our inaugural meeting with Truro.
