York City continue pre-season preparations with a visit to Whitby Town’s Towbar Express Stadium on Wednesday, July 17th (7pm kick off).
Adam Hinshelwood’s first away pre-season fixture sees a trip over to the seaside town of Whitby.
The hosts have marked the occasion as a testimonial for goalkeeper Shane Bland – who has been with Whitby Town for over ten years.
Both Whitby Town and York City supporters will be permitted in Turnbull’s Bar pre-match.
TICKETS & TRAVEL
Tickets are available online via Whitby Town’s ticketing system.
Supporters are free to stand wherever they like at the Towbar Express Stadium. No segregation is in place for the fixture.
Ticket pricing for the game will be:
- Adults: £10
- Concession (Over 65): £8
- Under 18s: £3
- Under 16s: Free (with paying adult)
Turnstiles 1 & 2 will open around 5.30pm on the evening.

Train: Whitby railway station is a 20 minute walk away from the stadium, however York to Whitby is not a direct service.
