A trip to Yeovil this Saturday marks the beginning of the Maynard era for York City (3pm kick-off).
After being appointed our new first team manager last Thursday, Stuart Maynard will lead the Minstermen for the first time at Huish Park this weekend.
It’s been just short of a fortnight since we were last in action at Woking, drawing one-all, with Alex Newby ensuring a point for City.
Our opponents come into this one under the helm of interim boss Richard Dryden, following the departure of Mark Cooper, which came shortly after a Bank Holiday defeat at home to Gateshead.
The Glovers led 3-0 at half-time, but managed to find themselves on the wrong end of the scoreline ultimately, the visitors winning it in the 98th minute.
They were also beaten narrowly away at Halifax last weekend, and won 1-0 at Solihull Moors in midweek.
An Ollie Pearce penalty sealed three points for us on our last trip to Somerset, in 2024/25.
