The Minstermen kick-start their Emirates FA Cup campaign this coming Saturday when we welcome high-flying Southern Premier League side Needham Market to the LNER Community Stadium in the Fourth Qualifying Round.
Neal Ardley’s side head into this weekend’s fixture hoping to start a run in this season’s competition and aim to replicate last season’s success in reaching the 1st Round proper of the competition for a third season in a row.
This weekend’s visitors will make the long trip up North hoping to cause an FA Cup shock as they look to reach the First Round of the competition themselves for a second successive season in a row.
So far this season, the Southern Premier League side have beaten FC Romania (3-0), Hashtag United (1-0) and Peterborough Sports (3-0 in a replay, originally 0-0) to book their place in the last qualifying round of this season’s competition.

He managed to help the club reach the 2006/07 Nationwide Conference playoffs and earned the Clubman of the Year award for that season ahead of a move to League Two side Barnet.
Since leaving the club, he has featured in the Football League for Notts County, Blackpool, Scunthorpe United and Mansfield Town, before recently stepping into management where he had a short stint with Northern Premier League side Gainsbrough Trinity.
