Match Preview | York City vs Oxford City

The Minstermen are back at home on Tuesday evening in the Vanarama National League when we take on Oxford City at the LNER Community Stadium.

Neal Ardley’s side head into this fixture looking to bounce back to winning ways after falling to defeat on Saturday at home to Hartlepool United, which ended the Minstermen’s four-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

Following promotion to the fifth tier of English Football last season via the National League South playoffs, Oxford City have found life in the National League tough so far, but a 4-0 victory on the road against Ebbsfleet United on Saturday saw them pick up a crucial three points.

Tuesday’s fixture will also be the first-ever meeting between the two sides as both the Minstermen and Oxford know three points could be crucial for their side as both teams look to move away from the drop zone.
